CBD Oil in Chiang Mai: A Guide to the Brands at Haze Buds (Seya, Nrai, Kanha, DIIP)

Quick answer: Haze Buds stocks CBD products from four brands: Seya, Nrai, Kanha and DIIP. Seya and DIIP are Thai CBD brands that make under-the-tongue oils, Nrai is a Chiang Rai hemp company known for topical CBD oils and balms, and Kanha is an international brand made in Thailand under a local partnership. All of them are sold in-store only at our Sridonchai and Saturday Gate shops. We don’t offer delivery or online ordering.

What Is CBD Oil?

CBD (cannabidiol) is one of the many compounds found in hemp and cannabis plants. Unlike THC, CBD does not make you high. A CBD oil is CBD extract mixed into a carrier oil such as MCT (coconut-derived) oil or hemp seed oil. It usually comes in a dropper bottle.

You’ll see two kinds on our shelves:

  • Drops (tinctures): placed under the tongue, as the label directs.
  • Topical oils and balms: for the skin only, such as massage oils.

Always check which kind you’re picking up. The label says whether a product is for oral use or external use only.

Is CBD Oil Legal in Thailand?

In plain words: yes, CBD products are sold legally in Thailand. They have to meet Thai rules, which include limits on THC content and registration with the Thai Food and Drug Administration (อย. / Thai FDA). Brands we stock, including Seya and DIIP, say their products are registered with the Thai FDA and keep THC within legal limits.

A few practical points for visitors:

  • Look for a Thai FDA registration number on the box.
  • Thai rules on cannabis and CBD have changed several times since 2022. Check the current rules before you travel, especially if you plan to fly with CBD or take anything on a domestic flight.
  • Being legal in Thailand doesn’t make a product legal in your home country. Many countries restrict CBD.

How to Read a CBD Oil Label

Labels can look technical, but four numbers and words tell you most of what you need.

Total CBD (mg) This is the total amount of CBD in the whole bottle, for example 1,500 mg in a 30 ml bottle.

Strength (mg per ml) Divide total CBD by the bottle size. For example, 1,500 mg ÷ 30 ml = 50 mg per ml. Two bottles with the same total can have different strengths if they’re different sizes.

THC content Full spectrum products can contain a trace of THC within Thai limits. Broad spectrum and isolate products are made to remove THC. If you need to avoid THC entirely, ask for a THC-free product and check the label.

Full spectrum, broad spectrum or isolate – Full spectrum: CBD plus other plant compounds such as minor cannabinoids and terpenes, including trace THC. – Broad spectrum: similar, but with the THC removed. – Isolate: CBD on its own.

Also look for the lot number, expiry date and whether a lab test (COA) is available.

The Brands at Haze Buds

Seya Seya is a Thai CBD brand. Its range includes full spectrum and broad spectrum CBD oils, plus CBD gummies. Published strengths include a 250 mg full spectrum oil, a 1,500 mg full spectrum oil (30 ml, 50 mg/ml, with C8 MCT carrier oil), and broad spectrum oils at 1,500 mg and 3,000 mg. Seya says its products are made in Thailand and lab tested.

Nrai Nrai (Narai CBD Co., Ltd.) is based in Mae Lao, Chiang Rai, so it’s a northern Thai neighbour. The company says it grows organic hemp and extracts CBD using supercritical CO2. Its range is mostly topical: CBD massage oil (50 ml) with Thai herbs, nano cream, balm, a CBD and hemp seed oil, and a herbal inhaler.

Kanha Kanha is a cannabis brand from California, owned by Sunderstorm and best known for its gummies. It came to Thailand through a partnership with THCG Group, a licensed Thai company, and makes products locally. Kanha has also launched nano CBD tinctures in Asia. Ask our staff which Kanha CBD items are on the shelf at the moment. You can also read our Kanha gummy guide.

DIIP DIIP (Diip CBD) is a Thai brand from Good Neighbors Biotechnology Co., Ltd., founded in 2022. Its range includes a Daily CBD Oil (1,000 mg per 30 ml bottle), CBD gummies (25 mg per piece) and capsules (25 mg each). DIIP says it uses CBD isolate and that its products are registered with the Thai FDA.

  • Does it have a Thai FDA number, and can I see a lab test?
  • Will it be OK in my luggage or back home? (We can explain Thai rules, but please check your airline and your home country’s rules.)
